Book Review of "Zero Rejection Prospecting" By Norbert Orlewicz and Michael J. Durkin

This book review of Zero Rejection Prospecting will cover what I feel were some of the strong points of this excellent book. As a personal friend of Norbert Orlewicz & Michael J Durkin (both of whom I had the pleasure of meeting at the "Live The Dream Event" in Las Vegas 2010) I aimed to be as impartial as possible. Here is my review.

The book begins with Mr. Norbert Orlewicz recounting his early adventures in Network Marketing in Vancouver, Canada. He speaks about dreaming as a kid watching "Lifestyles of The Rich and Famous" (I used to watch that show as well!) and becoming a big success one day. He tells the story of his struggle and disappointment early in his career as a Network Marketer. It's an inspirational story, because it shows that anyone from any walk of life can be a success in this industry if they have the will and determination to do so. Norbert went from giving out surveys on corners, doing cold calls and paying for unqualified leads to now being a 7 figure earner in this industry. It was definitely a deeper look into what it takes to be successful and the universal struggle that we all have to endure in order to make our businesses work.

One key point that the book emphasizes is the fact that traditional ways of marketing are quickly being replaced by the newer ones. It stresses the point that online strategies MUST be acquired if one is to build their business for the long run. Traditional methods such as belly to belly prospecting is not discouraged but actually should be used as a hybrid with Internet Marketing. Online and Offline strategies coupled together is the combination to create.

Mr. Michael J. Durkin known as "North America's Prospecting Coach" with over 30 years of experience in this industry (and an 8 figure earner!) goes into prospecting over the phone and how to have conversations with leads. This part of the book is truly invaluable because most people are scared to pick up the phone and call their prospects. I enjoyed the way Mr. Durkin outlined the process and he made it enjoyable to read with his sense of humor and warm nature.

This book breaks everything down! It gives the do's and don'ts of marketing, which marketing strategies are effective and which ones waste time. It briefly touches on adding friends on social media, how to create an effective blog, and what data to look for when tracking a campaign. It also touches on converting leads into sales and how to close the deal.

Zero Rejection Prospecting is a must have if you are serious about learning how to avoid rejection and want to know how to leverage the Internet in a powerful way. I recommend that you add it to your existing arsenal of Network Marketing books. This is a quick read but the information that you will gain from it will stay with you through your entire career.
