The Danger Of Duplication

There has been a real change in Internet Marketing during the last couple of years. Most of the major Internet Marketing companies offers some kind of duplication like company landing pages, websites, blogs and other marketing tools. Even soft tools like pre-written email and articles are available.

The positive side of this matter is that it makes it possible for everyone to join and start marketing online. You do not need any skills in web design, web hosting or even copywriting. But there is a downside too. If you look around in all the offers you receive by mail or find using search engines, you will soon see a pattern. The number of individual marketers are growing, but there are so many of them using the exact same pages and messages and the actual offers and companies are more or less constant. After a while this can be somewhat frustrating!

And the latest trend is to share all your marketing tips in a webinar, so after every webinar you will find a bunch of people broadcasting more or less the same message that they learned during that webinar. I have done it myself and I have to admit it is so easy to fall into that trap, but if you stop for a while and put yourself in the buyers position, you might get another idea. Would you buy from a person that has a true personal touch on his/hers marketing message or the one with the duplicated, found everywhere, message? I for sure would like to find some personality and the person behind the offer just to find a sponsor that I can work with for months and years to come.

No problem with using all the duplication to get started, but really soon you should use it just to get some ideas, and then find your own structure from there. What works for some marketers may not work for you. Feel free to visit my blog for more personal thoughts about online marketing.
