Gary Vaynerchuck Book Review - Crush it!

Gary Vaynerchuck is maybe one of the first "traditional" businessman that realized the world business environment in changing very quickly and the cause for that change relies on internet. Until now we divided the business models in two big separated parts: internet businesses (like Amazon, Google and other companies that rely on being online to exist) and the mortar and brick companies. We know that a lot of the mortar and brick are moving to internet (Walmart and Toys 'R Us, for example) but it's being recognized by the industry in general that the internet requires new business models, new ways to deal with customers and new forms of relationship.

I like the way that Gary explains how a mortar a brick business (wine shop) can grow and become a multimillion dollars business because of the internet. Mainly, because of the free tools that the online world provide us and how if we use them in the right manner we can boost our business and, in the bottom line, ourselves and our own brand.

The book is a very pleasant reading and you can feel the passion and the excitement of Gary in its pages. It seems that he's in a rush because he needs to do something right away, and he has the ability to transmit that to the reader. Sometimes you just feel the need to close the book and go to the computer doing something. And here is where I found some lacks in Gary book. He introduces the products you can use to create your brand online, to explore the internet potential, but he doesn't tell you exactly how to do it, which are the best techniques and how you can take the most of those products to leverage your business.

Of course his book is not a step-by-step guide. He refers some tools like Facebook, Twitter and video submission sites, but he doesn't explain exactly how to use them. You get some hints here and there and you can devise some kind of strategy, but how do implement it? You start to fear that there is too much work involved and Gary, in fact, underlines that you need to spend a lot of time and do a lot of work to achieve some kind of success.

Let me tell you this: is not really that complicated. You can find a lot of courses and trainings that explains you step-by-step how to use the social networks that Gary Vaynerchuck talks about to build your online business in a easily and most profitable way.

I understand that a lot of the information you find in those courses is sometimes difficult to understand and to implement due the technical aspects of it and the level of knowledge you must have. Usually the writer or the trainer just assume you know how to use those online tools, that you know how to develop HTLM code, post a video or simply run a market ting campaign. Which is not true for people that are starting and trying to figure it out.

I recommend that you follow a nice and easy manual, that explains the very basics of Facebook and other social networks and that provides you step-by-step instructions. Even if you already have some knowledge regarding the technology, it will help you, nevertheless, to use and follow such a manual.

I've been playing around in the internet for several years and I've done several businesses online. Until recently I really didn't pay much attention to the power of the social networks, but when I started I use my old strategy: why do it all by myself if there are other people that can teach me do do it better, faster and easier? There is a book that does the trick. When I start applying the book teachings I was able to quickly understand and implement the techniques that lead me to better results. You can do the same.
